Avvoka opened early access to headless templating, which lets an AI assistant connected to Avvoka build document templates as well as draft from them. A user hands the assistant a Word document or an existing template and describes how it should work, and the assistant sets up the questions, conditions, repeating sections and calculated values, then saves a draft in Avvoka. The release names Claude and Copilot for early access, with Harvey and Legora to follow, though its availability note lists only customers already using the Claude integration.

Buyer relevance. Template building has long been the slow part of document automation, and this moves it into the assistant lawyers already use. Nothing changes for end users until the team reviews and publishes the draft template.

Avvoka launched Curate, a standalone product that reads a firm's historical transaction documents, extracts the clause variations that performed best, and generates templates from them. The output feeds back into Avvoka's automation and AI drafting workflows.

Buyer relevance. Template maintenance is the unglamorous cost center of knowledge management, and most templates drift from what the firm actually negotiates. Building them from executed documents rather than from a partner's memory is the interesting claim, and it is testable against a firm's own back catalog.
