Changelog

Definely changelog

Every tracked product and technology change at Definely, dated and sourced. Each entry names the change, its impact and the live source it was graded from.

Product and technology changes only. Funding rounds, valuations, partnerships and awards are excluded, and an acquisition appears only where there is direct product impact. Every entry cites a live retrieved source. Changes to the index's own records are not changelog material; a corrected record carries its own dates.

AI Search is now available in Definely Vault, its clause and precedent search over documents connected from iManage, NetDocuments and SharePoint. It finds the clause a lawyer means even when the wording differs from how it was drafted, and picks up filters such as governing law from the query itself. Definely states that results always come from the firm's own Vault documents and that Vault never generates answers or clause language.

Buyer relevance. Lawyers get plain language precedent search where every result is an existing firm document rather than generated text, which keeps clause sourcing auditable. It switches on only for firms licensed for both Vault and Enhance.

Correct a record, or ask how something was graded

Every grade and every signal on this index is drawn from public sources and dated. If a record is wrong, out of date, or missing an artifact the index did not locate, send the source and it will be reviewed and the record redated. Vendors are welcome to submit documentation. Nothing on this index is for sale, including a listing, a placement, or a grade.

The AI Legal Index is an editorial reference. It is not a regulatory body, not a law firm, and nothing published here is legal advice or a recommendation to retain or avoid a vendor. Records are verified against published sources, bar guidance and public court records. Where a record reads not addressed, the material was not located in public sources on the date shown.
