Changelog

Lawmatics changelog

Every tracked product and technology change at Lawmatics, dated and sourced. Each entry names the change, its impact and the live source it was graded from.

Product and technology changes only. Funding rounds, valuations, partnerships and awards are excluded, and an acquisition appears only where there is direct product impact. Every entry cites a live retrieved source. Changes to the index's own records are not changelog material; a corrected record carries its own dates.

Pricing / packaging

Merlin Copilot, the conversational assistant inside Lawmatics released in July, is now sold as Lite and Pro seat plans ($29 and $49 per seat per month per the Copilot help article) and gained new abilities: updating matter data through chat, answering firm wide aggregate data questions, finding where a merge field is used, and scheduled Routines that run a request on a timer and post the result to a Copilot thread.

Buyer relevance. Copilot moves from reading and building to writing directly to matter records and running unattended on a schedule, so firms should decide who holds a seat and how chat driven matter edits are reviewed. Per seat list prices make budgeting possible without a sales call.

Product / capability

Merlin Engage agents, which hold AI conversations with leads to collect information, qualify cases or book meetings, can now reach leads by email as well as text, with one channel set as primary and the other as a fallback. A new Collect Data Only agent type gathers chosen matter, contact and custom fields from a client without judging the lead, writes answers straight into matter fields, skips fields that already hold a value, and can hand off to another agent or a person when done.

Buyer relevance. Intake teams can reach leads who never answer texts, and can use an agent just to fill in missing case details without it making any call on the lead.
