LegalOn started a beta of Agent Builder in Japan, in which a legal AI agent runs a chain of tasks on its own when conditions the customer sets are met. The first phase triggers on matter management events, such as a new matter or a change in status or assignee, and automates work like handling legal consultations and assigning matters, with automatic first pass contract review planned. Admins set what the agent can draw on, including whether web search is allowed, and can block actions such as emailing the requester.

Buyer relevance. LegalOn moves from help a lawyer asks for to work that starts without a lawyer, so buyers need to decide which triggers and actions to allow and where a lawyer still signs off. The announcement comes from the Japan site and does not mention US availability.

LegalOn published a set of workflow additions: Cross Document Review for analyzing a whole contract family together, searchable negotiation history through the LegalOn Assistant, and an upgrade to AI Revise that drafts and inserts language for missing provisions inside the Word add in. Teams can also set a department level editor name for redlines in Word for the Web.

Buyer relevance. Two of these solve the same problem from different ends, which is that negotiation context lives in people's memory and in old email threads. The department level editor name is a smaller thing that in house teams ask for constantly, because a redline should not tell the counterparty which junior lawyer made the edit.
