OneTrust introduced CORIE (Contextual Orchestration for Reasoning, Intelligence and Evidence), a shared intelligence layer made of a Trust Graph that maps AI systems, models, data, vendors and identities to consent and governance requirements, a Reasoning Engine that applies policies and prior decisions, and an Evidence Ledger that keeps the audit trail. The same TrustWeek release names an AI Control Plane, a runtime layer that allows, blocks or routes agent actions to a person for approval. An MCP gateway, AI driven assessments and posture management for GDPR and the EU AI Act are in private preview for fall and winter.
Buyer relevance. Legal and privacy teams get a recorded reason behind each automated governance decision, which is what an auditor or regulator will ask for. The runtime control plane is the part to watch, since it moves governance from policy documents to blocking or escalating what agents actually do.
