Patent Bots changelog

The AI Legal Index tracks product and technology changes at Patent Bots and has logged one entry, dated Oct 26, 2026. Each entry is dated, names the change and its impact, and cites the live source it was graded from, so a change can be read against the grades on the Patent Bots assessment. Read the Patent Bots assessment.

Product and technology changes only. Funding rounds, valuations, partnerships and awards are excluded, and an acquisition appears only where there is direct product impact. Every entry cites a live retrieved source. Changes to the index's own records are not changelog material; a corrected record carries its own dates.

Patent Bots introduced Sprocket, an AI drafting assistant inside its Microsoft Word add in for patent applications and office action responses. Sprocket works step by step rather than producing a whole application at once, carries the attorney's corrections forward to later steps, and accepts disclosures, call transcripts, figures and prior art. It inserts claim amendments with strikethrough and underline formatting.

Buyer relevance. Step by step drafting keeps the attorney deciding at each stage, which suits practitioners wary of a full application generated in one pass. Amendments already in marked up form save a formatting chore on every response.
