Changelog

Ethyca changelog

Every tracked product and technology change at Ethyca, dated and sourced. Each entry names the change, its impact and the live source it was graded from.

Product and technology changes only. Funding rounds, valuations, partnerships and awards are excluded, and an acquisition appears only where there is direct product impact. Every entry cites a live retrieved source. Changes to the index's own records are not changelog material; a corrected record carries its own dates.

Release 3.0.0 of Ethyca's Astralis platform records every purpose based access control decision with its outcome, reason, inferred data use and confidence, the tables and columns touched, and the policies that denied it. The records are exposed through new decision record API endpoints and a decision drawer in the enforcement log. Behind a flag that is off by default, the MCP gateway can also infer the data use of an AI agent's database query and decide on it.

Buyer relevance. Privacy and legal teams get a per decision audit trail showing why an AI agent or a user was allowed or denied access to sensitive data, which is the evidence an auditor or regulator will ask for.

Correct a record, or ask how something was graded

Every grade and every signal on this index is drawn from public sources and dated. If a record is wrong, out of date, or missing an artifact the index did not locate, send the source and it will be reviewed and the record redated. Vendors are welcome to submit documentation. Nothing on this index is for sale, including a listing, a placement, or a grade.

The AI Legal Index is an editorial reference. It is not a regulatory body, not a law firm, and nothing published here is legal advice or a recommendation to retain or avoid a vendor. Records are verified against published sources, bar guidance and public court records. Where a record reads not addressed, the material was not located in public sources on the date shown. See the Methodology page for evaluation standards and limitations.
